Travel is an adventure, and nothing captures the imagination of kids more than an adventure. At least that’s the case when it comes to my boys. Whether it’s flying halfway across the world or going to the park down the street, just going or doing or seeing are actions to demand attention and participation from these two guys.
For me, I’m all about the planning and the logistics. I enjoy finding the best flight itinerary, getting the best hotel in the best location at the best price, and making sure the trip goes smoothly. I enjoy figuring out how to get around a new city. It’s probably no surprise that I’m a computer programmer by profession given how it requires the same sort of logical thinking and focus on optimization as planning a trip.
Several years ago I found my way into the world of credit card points and miles after having an American Airlines AAdvantage MasterCard for almost a decade. Since then I’ve learned some tricks and techniques to improve my earning ability to really help us expand our travel possibilities.
In this blog I’ll be highlighting some of our trips and giving insight into the thought process that goes into planning these trips. The posts will be slow at first before becoming more regular so stay tuned for more posts!
We hope you can learn from our experience and apply it to your own travel plans!
