We were sad the vacations as coming to an end but excited to get home to see our families again. We had a 6am flight out of SFO back to Boston. We got up around 3am to get packed, checked out, and to the airport to return the car. It was a short drive with no traffic.
After dropping off the minivan at the car rental center, we took the AirTrain to our terminal to check in for our flight. I was hoping I could convince the checkin agent to check all our bags for free with my credit card perk but had no luck as we expected. Only my golf bag was free and we had to pony up $75 for the other bags just as we had on the way out.
Back Home
We had an uneventful flight with a connection again in DFW, though this time it was only for an hour. The flight was entirely uneventful and forgettable. It was either that or we were too tired and distracted about heading home that that we didn’t notice.
When we got back to Boston we collected our bags, found where we had parked and headed back to my house. They dropped me off and headed back up to Maine after a quick bite to eat.
We had the next day to recover and get back into the right time zone before heading back to work on Monday with some amazing stories to tell!
